Blunder: Havertz Interview Leaked in Arsenal Jersey Before Official Announcement

Something seems amiss as the sun shines and Kai Havertz smiles under the palm trees. The German football national player is seen wearing the jersey of his new club, FC Arsenal, in a two-minute and 20-second video, even though his transfer from FC Chelsea has not yet been officially announced.

Havertz’s Move to Arsenal Appears to be a Done Deal

The transfer of German football national player Kai Havertz from London Premier League club FC Chelsea to city rivals FC Arsenal seems to be a done deal. A video circulating on the internet shows the 24-year-old expressing his thoughts while wearing an Arsenal jersey, signaling his future club.

Apparently, the clip was accidentally uploaded briefly because the transfer has not been officially announced yet. Reports suggest that the transfer fee for Havertz, who helped Chelsea win the Champions League in 2021, is around 75 million euros.

“Kai, welcome to Arsenal. How does it feel to join the club?” a voice is heard in the video. Havertz responds in the unverified clip, saying he is very excited. “I’m so glad to be part of such a great club. Arsenal has a famous history, and I believe we can achieve great things together.”

Havertz to Wear a Special Shirt Number at Arsenal

It is also evident in the video that Havertz will retain his familiar jersey number 29 at Arsenal. “I love wearing it again in a red shirt,” said the former Bayer Leverkusen player.

Havertz made a move from Bayer Leverkusen to London in 2020 for 80 million euros. With Chelsea, he recently missed out on a spot in European competitions. Arsenal is also looking to sign other stars. As reported by Sky Sports, the runner-up has increased its offer for English national player Declan Rice from local rival West Ham United to 122 million euros.
